Entrance Date
The clinical year commences on the third Monday in August.
Graduation Date
The program culminates after completion of 45 weeks of study (graduation in the following July).

September – Labor Day
November – Thanksgiving (Wed-Fri)
Christmas break – Christmas Eve extending through and including New Year’s Day
January – Martin Luther King Day
Spring break – Palm Sunday through and including Easter Monday
May – Memorial Day
July – Independence Day
Two vacations are scheduled during the clinical year, one week during Christmas, and one week at Easter time. If the Christmas and New Year’s holidays fall such that two weeks of vacation are scheduled, the school year will be extended by one week to accommodate the 45-week program.
Daily Schedule
The program is 5-days per week, no weekends.
August – January
ROTATION I: DIDACTIC (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
During Rotation I, students will be engaged in a variety of lectures, activities and laboratory sessions. Daily schedules for each section are supplied to students in advance.
February – July
ROTATION II: CLINICAL (hours vary with department)
During the second half of the year, the students will spend the majority of their workday rotating in the designated departments of the clinical laboratory. Due to the one-on-one nature of this rotation, the scheduled hours the student spends in the department are determined by the Section Supervisor and the Technologist working with the student. Hours may include: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
